Green Pepper Press Street Team Crusade 15

The two journal entries below are inspired by the GPP Challenge 15 for December. "Where are You?" was the question posed. One could also talk about other places one's been. See: http://michelleward.typepad.com/how_cool_is_that/ I chose the place where I was born, and the place where I live now; Oklahoma City and Québec City.

Kathleen - thanks for entering our crusade with your journal pages about OC and QC. I never knew Oklahoma was the Mistletoe State! (Did you know you are supposed to remove a berry everytime you kiss under one? I didn't!) Quebec City is lovely - I was there many moons ago and will always remember it a dreamy place. How cool to have gone there as a student only to find your future there.

Kathleen, I loved reading about your two 'homes'- I knew Esperance in French meant hope but I didn't know the spanish meaning. Thank you.

Oklahoma to Quebec sounds like a long way, but home is where the heart is. Lovely pictures.

Two worlds so close yet so far apart. What a story. Happy New Year.

Two beautiful pages! I was a new lawyer back when the bombing took place and was deeply touched by the courage and spirit of the people in Oklahoma. We have first hand experience in the way it lives on today. My daughter, Isabella, age 10, was in ski school last week with a little girl from Oklahoma. They rode the lift together throughout the two days and Isabella said that each time they ascended on the lift, the little girl began singing the wonderful Rogers and Hammerstein song! jodi barone

I was a relatively new lawyer during the time of the bombing and remember being deeply touched by the spirit and courage displayed by the people of Oklahoma. We have evidence of this strong spirit still present today. My daughter was in ski school with another little girl, who came from Oklahoma, last week. Isabella said that each time they ascended on the ski lift, her new little friend burst into the Rogers and Hammerstein song! jodi barone
